C & C Stoneworks of Greenville will be the new sponsor of the team that used to be known as Sylvan Learning Center. Donnie and Becky Taylor, who have recently sold Sylvan, asked for the Sylvan team sponsorship to be transferred to their son Wesley Taylor who is the owner of C & C Stoneworks. From this point forward the team will be known as C & C Stoneworks.
Greenville Little Leagues is very grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Taylor for their 9 years of major league team sponsorship + many more years of sponsorship in the minor league. Sylvan won one City Championship (2013) during the 9 years that they sponsored the team.
About the Company
C and C Stoneworks has been a local, family-owned and operated business in Greenville, NC since 2013. They specialize in natural and engineered stone fabrication and installation across all of Eastern North Carolina.
About the Owner
Owner of C and C Stoneworks, Wesley Taylor has been in the building industry most of his life. Born and raised in Greenville, Wesley worked for many family members and family friends who were builders. His passion for construction continued to grow, and in 2003 Wesley decided to start his own construction company. He became a licensed contractor and began building projects that ranged from commercial to residential. Through the years, he maintained building homes along with completing kitchen and bath remodels. During this time, Wesley also worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the city of Greenville.
About the Uniforms
On Monday, November 11 Wesley Taylor, Scott “Scooter” Rogers and myself sat down together and worked out colors and uniform design on the computer. After a lot of thought and discussion it was decided that C & C Stoneworks would have the colors of Columbia Blue and Gold. The team will wear Columbia Blue vests with Gold letters and White trim. The players will have Columbia Blue caps with a Gold letter “C” and White trim. They will sport Gold t-shirts under the vests with the traditional Red, White, and Blue Little League keystone patch on the left sleeve. The team will wear Columbia Blue belts, and North State League Gray pants. Pictures of how the uniform tops are expected to look are at the bottom of this post.
New Team Name Transition
In the coming days expect to see all references to "Sylvan" on publications such as the 2019 game schedule to be changed to "C & C Stoneworks”.

The "Tutors" nickname will be replaced by a new nickname in 2019. I will have all winter to think of a nickname for C & C Stoneworks and it will be unveiled once C & C wins their first game next spring.
